Gregory Isaacs cover

Hello. I covered Gregory Isaacs' 'Sad to Know (You're Leaving)'. There are three tracks: one guitar and vocal, second vocal, second guitar. Thanks for the listen.

I'm a joker, I'm a smoker...

Here's my rendition of Steve Miller's, "The Joker".

I kind of ran out of ideas in the major scale for the solo so I started playing in the blues scale; I think it worked nicely.

Thanks for the listen.

Angeles by Elliott Smith/Your Song by Elton John

Two covers are up on my purevolume site ( purevolume.com/mattmasarik ); the first is "Your Song" by Elton John and the second is "Angeles" by Elliott Smith. Enjoy!

Sure, Pat.

I'm going to post this in a new thread as well since there's a different song along with "Angeles" up.

well first you have to know what harmonics are in physics, the word harmonics refers to the normal modes of vibrations for standing waves...like in the diagram above, if you pluck an open string, it is the first harmonic and it has the fundamental frequency, f1...now the second harmonic is the secon...

that f# on the d string on the riff should just be an f

and don't worry about getting all the strings to ring, it'll come and it really doesn't matter...they're just power chords anyway...when playing jack's stuff, just worry about getting good sound from your muting and shiat
