building a platform out of 2x4s and 3/4" plywood to put the entire set on will really help. it only needs to be a few inches off the ground. also, hanging drapes made out of thick materials on the walls will help, but there are more effective (read:more expensive) ways to soundproof the actual wall...

How to Sound proof drums inside a room??
Heres my situation: I have a drum set in my room where my band practices. The problem is that the drum set is far too loud, especially whenever we're trying to play at lower sound levels like at night. Question: What's the most cost-effective way to soundproof the drums? I'm thinking of just buying ...

alot of the slaps are indiscerable in the beginning the finger slide in the second part isnt loud enough the harmonic slap is not existent the tapping part is pretty tightened up just crank it a little, dont hold back. (you def use a different tab than me for that pat by the way) the flamenco strum...

you rhythm is slightly shaky, when you move from the first to the second section, you lose the downbeat and seem to start the tempo from scratch and you can barely hear the bass line during the third section. and there was one time when you hit the low D string that it went out of tune from hitting...

TOP Okay, I learned the opening part of Little Wing last night, and I'm curious as to whether Hendrix and SRV used a pick on this song, or if they would just use fingers. When I play it with fingers, I get it to sound a lot more accurate, maybe because I'm a little sloppier when using a pick. Does ...

I'm not sure about the other guitarists technique .. but Justin King only uses two right hand fingers to tap ... he usually plays the melody with these two fingers on the high strings while playing the bass line with his left hand ... [quote="filmdude100cms"] As far as polyphonic tapping on an acous...

Hendrix didn't do that .. he played a right handed strat stringed for a left handed player, so he played leftie. He could, however, just flip up a right handed guitar upside down and play it ... even donig the bends in the opposite direction. I am pretty sure thats how he recorded "Wind Cries Mary"....

EVERY SINGLE modern acoustic instrumntalist was in some way influenced by Hedges. He paved the way for, as Don Ross woud call it- "heavy wood". It's not about how fast or flashy he was it's about his tone. Listen to "Bensusan" and you'll know what I mean. That slide up and the little harmonic secti...

So theres been alot of interest in heavily percussive acoustic guitar around here lately ... especially in Justin King and Keller Williams... so what about the man who pretty much revolutionized acoustic guitar in the early 80's and pretty much brought to the forefront acoustic slap guitar ?? anyone...

ok man, i can kind of play it decently, been working on it for around a year now, still dont have it close, but its recognizable. here are some tips : as for the slap bass line part of phunkdified, i dont really go by a tab, theres too many nuances to accuratley represent it in tab... i would recomm...
