Old Eyes - Original Song
Check this out if you guys have a chance. I think the guitar sounds good but I admit that there might be a bit too much "double tracking" going on w/ the vocals...but oh well. Let me know what you think. On a side note, Cleveland sports are cursed and I cry about it a lot. http://www.sendspace.com/f...

The point is being missed here…if you’ve been playing guitar for a while (several years), Dave songs will be easier to learn. If you’re brand new at guitar, and you decide to start w/ Dave songs, they’ll be really challenging. For someone to say that they learned the Stone in one week, I don’t imagi...

First off, your taylor vs. martin quote is hysterical. Secondly, this sounds great for just writing it the other day, and recording it all "live." I like to cheat and record things/loop them, then guitar part two, then vocals, then lead, etc...nice job for this being a new song. There are definately...

Thanks for the comments folks. I told that son of a beYotch friend of mine to play lead w/ his acoustic, but NOOOOO, he INSISTED on playing electric! Just kidding. In hindsight, since we never put a drum track down, he's since told me that he wished he would have played the lead on his acoustic. I p...

Hey Mama - First Original
Hello all...first off, I just listened to Brian's original "75 Numb"...and it is incredible (Brian, I also have your cover of The Maker and American Song on my mp3). That made me want to post something I recorded a while ago, with a possibly similar meaning. My buddy did the recording and the mixing...

dude...this sounds great! I saw them play this song on SNL a week or so ago, and it's a great song. I just looked it up, and I'll definitely learn it now. You voice and guitar sounded great(you said the recording quality wasn't that hot, but if you don't have the equipment, nothing you can really do...

Raven Chorus Strumming Pattern...
Hey, Raven is a great song...I just want to make sure I'm playing the chorus correctly. For those of you who play it, do you basically strum the chorus chords one strum at a time, or what? I know it's hard to describe strumming patterns, so I'm not really looking for the D U D U of the pattern.........

I should have been more specific…sorry…I understand that the C major is basically the same as the A minor pentatonic…A major is basically the same as the F# minor pentatonic, etc. If you look at the chords of the song I posted…they are E A B F# No minors in there at all…so, I’m wondering...
