I use several kinds, bt predominantly Dunlop Nylon .60mm because the tip is more flexible and te nylon is easier to grip with not so much clickyness as the other one - Dunlop Tortex .60mm Black, which I use predominantly for volume, but can be used for finesse if handled properly. That being said, 9...

I own a BR-160, and can say without qualification that it will pull it's weight. I've had it since May, and play about 2 hours most days, and it's started opening up already. The whole guitar moves....it's quite a thumper on the bass, and can shatter glass with the treble...well, almost. Comparison-...

My local pro shop (and it really is) can barely keep them in stock, while dozens of "vintage" Taylors and Martins collect dust on their hangars. Bourgeois are built in Maine, and the few I've played were astounding. But way out of my price range. Larrivee is a similar style - well built, tonally exc...

My personal preference:

Markley Blue Steel, TMD (True Medium) or Martin Bluegrass.

Yeah, I go through alot of strings...but that last three weeks when they're dead on and melow is groovy.

RE: two step...

Sorry, I can't answer the original post as I keep getting an invalid session message now, so you can move this later or kill it if your have to. My DVD doesn't time tracks, so it' 1hr/33min/13 seconds into the show. At the end of the bridge/fill on the tab, that should end: 10 x 8 10 Dave adds somet...

1:33:13 into LS DVD, Two Step....

Anybody got any clue as to what the hell that "flourish/twiddly" bit is Dave's playing on the last four beats at the end of the strum?

It's making me mental!

sing along?

My personal advise (this from an actual "singer"), is to NOT start off by singing along with Dave! Seriously. It's self-esteem suicide. Try something basic first, where you've only gotta strum 3/4 chords: Dylan/Neil Young, etc. Anything more complex, and you'll be at it forever. If you're hell...

Am gettin' it on all my attempts to PM people.

Something new, or is it just me?

I signed in each time and everything.

Just thought you'd like to know that.
