I gave all your tunes a listen.. Very good. No complaints about the songs.. maybe I could critique the recordings but that isn't your job.. just make more songs. I linked some friends, hope you don't mind.

I liked it. I totally bought the banjo playing.. I admittedly hoped to hear you break out of the rhythmic pattern you had built up. Like at the change at 3 minutes in.. I was hoping you'd get away from the a1e a2e a3e a4e pattern more so.. I think you get what I mean. I like the melodic hook but wit...

Sorry, I thought this was the Recording & Critiquing section. No matter that I was not the only one who said the whispery thing didn't work for them, yah? And I said "guitar is good," that wasn't constructive or positive in any way was it? I'll avoid you in the future, no worries.

guitar is good. vocals are too whispery.. the chorus is all all about yelling.. if you aren't gonna yell it, then I don't think you should do it.

Re: cleaning a satin finish?

As someone who has owned one for the past 4 years, it will become shiney if you actually play it. It will happen to any satin finish instrument. You can clean and polish it like any other guitar, but you are typically recommended to not use the polishes because they act as a finish filler and abrasi...

The mic-in is mono, but if you sound card has a line-in, you can use that. Since you said you have a mixer board, you can use the line-out off (typically RCA jacks which you can get a cable to convert to a TRS 1/8" male connector).

I don't have my Stand Up DVD/CD combo disc, but there are a lot of shots of him singing vocals for tracks. You might be able to make out what the mic is from that. Otherwise, I don't think I have ever read what equipment they have used in the studio.

You know what works great as a pop screen? A wall. Seriously, zero pops. </sarcasm> My point is that it is trivial to put something in the way that blocks the burts of air that cause "pops" but the real design criteria is that it should be acoustically transparent otherwise. If you can't tell the di...

you guys are way too anal about your dainty little guitar necks and the string guage. changing guages won't do anything like "warp the neck" or some shenanigans. strings can still be thick guage or thin guage and have the same tension. there are so many factors to consider. if anything noticeable h...

If you are using Reason standalone, go to the "File" menu and there is an entry "Export Song as Audio File.." I am not familiar at all with Protools, but if you are using Protools as a master and Reason as a slave (via ReWire), then you can pretend that a Reason output channel is just like recorded ...

Changes guages of strings brings on several minor problems that may be of no consequence to you, but I think you should know the fact. If you guitar was adjusted to a certain gauge strings, and then you change to larger strings, you will have a few things happen: First, your neck will now bow more. ...

(Off-topic): This is a beaten to death horse, but I would like to put my two cents in.. not that I really think anyone cares. First off, your intent means nothing. "I didn't mean to" is the kind of crap you get from children that you accept because they are young. So, unless you are 12, "I don't mea...
