Thank you! Yeah, my voice is funny - some days it works, some days it doesn't ;) Thanks for the feedback!

#40 my cover...

Hi everyone, I don't think I've ever seen anyone post or even mention Dave's #40, which has only ever been played live as far as I know. Anyway, I think it's a beautiful song and tried to record a cover, which didn't work out that well. Fact is, it's a tough song to learn how to sing, but here's a h...

hehe. for early morning, it's pretty dang good. ;) the only thing i had a problem with was the tempo...it's a lot slower than dave's version, but that may just be the morning drudge. *grins* otherwise, you have a better voice than i do at 3 in the morning! rerecord this sucker, mate, and i'm sure i...

The Space Between - my cover...

Hey everyone,

It's 3:30 am, I was just playing guitar and decided to record my cover of The Space Between. No retakes, no special effects, and I could barely keep my eyes open so bare with me ;)

Maybe try smiling while your playing it if your not already, or bobble your head around a little bit, and have more fun with it. It's funny that you say that because I've found the same to be true - if you try smiling or frowning according to the mood of the song, it very much changes the way you s...

Thanks, man! You know, this is the first song I've ever shared online like this, and the positive feedback I've been getting has definitely given me the confidence to post more! I'll try to get a couple of tunes online very soon. Thanks again! :D

Only 16!! Man, that's unbelievable! I started playing when I was older than you! I was 17 and now I'm 23 - but I could only dream of ever being that good, man! Were you classically trained? Tell us a bit about how you spent your years learning to play, I'm very curious to know...

[3 - Daroou - Another awesome overall performance. I like your voice a lot and I know you said you sang your heart out, but it still sounds like you're holding back a bit. I think it's equivalent to both Fire's and Trippin's, but it seems like Trippin's more relaxed. His singing seems so effortless...

Wow...

Hi Roastbeef, So I listened to all your songs - even all 3 versions of #41 - and I just want to say that I'm impressed! That last version of #41 is amazing - I especially liked the outro, although you strummed through it a little harder than Dave does. Great guitar playing on Trippin' Billies - I st...

Yeah, that's true...

Alright, I do agree that it's all for fun, and I am very anxious to hear people play The Stone to the best of their abilities - including the mixing and playing with a band. But I'm most anxious to hear pure raw guitar playing talent, that's just my personal preference :)

Very true! That's what I find so cool about his playing - not only is his left-hand fingering often difficult (crazy 5 to 6-fret stretches!) but his right-hand strumming and muting is also quite complex! It makes for a very interesting and unique sound :D
