i have an ibanez AW-100... I would recommend it definitly. The neck on the taylor is wider than the the Ibanez that is why you are having trouble. The AW-100 is awesome for a $300 guitar... I would buy it and then save for the next guitar to be a serious taylor or martin, just my 2 cents. By the way...

on side note... i have heard from two seperate people that you can boild old strings to get them to sound better after they seem dead. and you can do this several times. One guy said he did it 5 times, times were tough for him. But these were normal strings, I can't imagine coated strings would work...

I have been playing for about 2 years... I currently have an Ibenez AW-100... I am thinking about upgrading.... I am looking for a guitar with a sligthly wider neck... no bigger that 1.75... my guitar is a biatch to fingerpick... can anyone suggest something...
