WYA bass tab

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

You forgot to open the code tag. Looks like the one that was on AM.org forever, heh. BTW, the chorus is not that accurate. Stefan does a lot of subtle stuff that's hard to hear.

If you combine that tab with this one you should have a very good idea of how to play WYA. Neither is perfect (drop D wtf? ;)), but combined they're pretty damn good. Grab a fiver and go nuts. :)

Code: Select all

WHAT YOU ARE
5-string BEADG

SOURCE: Last Call with Carson Daly

The way this usually works with the various fills/lead-ins/transitions is:

-For the beginning of the song, play through the verse once.

-Alt. (1) is the lead-in to the first verse.

-Play through the verse once, then Alt. (2) with the little fill, then the verse is repeated.

-Alt. (3) leads into the chorus.

-Play the chorus, repeating as needed, then Alt. (1) leads back into the verse.

-When the bridge comes up, it goes straight from chorus to bridge, no transitions. Also the bridge goes straight back into the chorus.

-The differences between alts. (1, 2, 3) are subtle, but they are worth noting.
