For DMBNova

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

For DMBNova

Here's the tab for Spoon. It's a basic song so i'm just going to give you the skeleton. Stefan doesn't go nuts in this song, it isn't necessary.

I tabbed it so you don't have to transpose but when I play this I use my B string as much as possible to really get a muddy feeling going with the song.

DMBNova, if you want I could give you the chord progressions and give you a crash course on arpeggio shapes and you could spice up the song on your own.

I was gonna goof around today and try and record my bass on my PC so I could provide links to examples of playing the tabs I post.

Time to go to my favorite store WALMART! LOL, later guys

Code: Select all

Intro

Repeat this twice>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>|
G|-----------------|-----------------|----------------|---------------|
D|------2--------2-|-----2--------2--|-----2--------2-|---------------|
A|-----------------|-----------------|----------------|-----3-----2---|
E|--0--------------|-0---------------|-0--------------|-0-----------3-|
B|-----------------|-----------------|----------------|---------------|

This is the main progression

|----------------|-------------|---------------|-------------|
|----------------|----------2--|---------------|-------------|
|------5------5--|-3-----------|-0---5------5--|-----------5-|
|--0-------------|-----0-4-----|---------------|-3---2-------|
|----------------|-------------|---------------|-------------|

The part that goes "Holding, I'm holding. I'm still falling...."

Play a C (helps if you have a 5-String to play the low C then the octave)
and the transition to the main progression is just like the intro:

|---------------|
|---------------|
|-----3-----2---|
|-0-----------3-|
|---------------|

And then it just goes on and on with variations using arpeggios
Understand what you are playing or you will never understand what to play.
