Venting about Nancies Message Boards

Anyone else here browse the boards at nancies.org? Anyone else here utterly fed up with how much bickering and how many stupid threads are posted there? Threads like "Wouldn't it be cool if Dave met my roomate and married my sister?" or "Does anyone know if DMB is going to put out over 20 albums?" Just REALLY stupid shit....

Granted not everyone that posts there fits this stereotype but I've found that the majority is just digital garbage. Makes me appreciate the community on this board a WHOLE lot more. 99% fewer trolls and 99% more relevent threads. Kudos to everyone here!

At least its not ants, where you get booted for disagreeing with mod decisions. Or you create the site and then get kicked off of it.

Good, I'm glad I'm not the only one irritated by their boards. I had no idea so many trolls existed in the world. Everytime I go there I just feel like I've come upon some school for special children...

I respect free speech but there should be a stipulation that makes it unapplicable for unintelligent conversation.

I used to be a member there. Then I browsed through Dmbtabs more thuroughly (SP!) and just thought about the difference between the two. I haven't been on Nancies in maybe 2 months or so.

nancies.org is like riding the 'short bus' in grade school ... a truly sad realization of some terrible affliction. but voluntarily pathetic.

having said that, i wonder if dave wipes his ass with his strum hand or his fret hand. what technique works best, and why?

i was a member of nancies for about 4 years....i guess i still am. went there for trading purposes but i ended up having more shows than pretty much everyone, so i just hung out with the people. i actually know a few of them personally, have gone to shows with them, hung out with them, etc...

a select few are pretty cool...but for the most part, it's like a Freshman dorm. most of the people are irritating as hell.......

To tell you the truth, Ive joined a few Dave boards and this is the only one Im still a part of. The rest of them all piss me off and I'll tell you why:

1)John Mayer vs. Dave Matthews, is this not everyother thread
2)Overall, stupid shit is posted that no one appreciates, but instead goes on and responds with even dumber shit
3)Most of the people on those boards are scum, and what they produce in each and every post they post is infact...scum

So I have jus vented and I thank you all for listening...good bye

i was a nancie.....then i realized i couldnt post an update on my life once every half hour and keep up with the rest of the people there. it was almost fun while it didnt last

If I understand your question, then you tab it out in notepad (or some other program that uses a fixed-width font) and then paste it into a post in between [ code ] [ / code ] tags (without the spaces obviously).

true dat....the topics there are just fuckin boring too...I like this because it's not a broad general "Musician's Thread" where you got drummer's bassists, etc(not to dog those guys that post here) about all different kinds of bands and music...this forum is all about Dave and his guitar playing/singing which is what I think most of the people on this board are really interested in....at least I am...and with that it brings a more specific, smaller group of people together with a lot of reality, that actually talk to each other more than once...and not to sound gay but actually become "internet friends" so to speak....I would consider several of you guys on the boards my "friends", which I highly doubt anybody over at Nancies, the bridge, or ants can say.
