Say Goodbye Bass Tab

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

Or you can make the bass line more defined in the song and add some eighths like this:

Code: Select all

G:-------------------------------------------------
D:---------76-----9---666-4-----7------------------
A:------------7-7---7-------5-5---5-555-4------7---
E:-5----55---------------------------------5-5---5-

Sound Clip of First Version of Verse is here:

Sound Clip of Second Version of Verse is here:

Note: I did not use a metronome or the actual song to record this so the rhythm/timing may be off by a little.

Here is what I have for the whole song.

Code: Select all

Say Goodbye
Dave Matthews Band

Verse:
G:-----------------------------------
D:---------76----------64------------
A:------------7----77-----5--555-4---
E:-5----55-------------------------5-

Alternative Verse (Something More Fun, but not what Stefan Plays):
G:-------------------------------------------------
D:---------76-----9---666-4-----7------------------
A:------------7-7---7-------5-5---5-555-4------7---
E:-5----55---------------------------------5-5---5-

Transition between Verse/Chorus:

G:-------
D:-------
A:----4--
E:-55---5

Chorus: (Note: This may not be the same positions on the neck as Fonz, but I am positive that the notes are correct)

G:--------------------------------
D:--------------------------------
A:----9-----2--------4-7--9-7-5-4-
E:-7-----4----4-5-55--------------

End Chorus:

G:--------------
D:--------------
A:------------5-
E:-3-33-3-3-3---

The End Of The Song (Not Positive On This Part)
("And Tomorrow Go Back to being Friends, Yeah Lovers..."/"Say Goodbye")

G:----------------------------
D:----------------------------
A:------------------------5-4-
E:-5--5--5--5--3-33-3-3-3-----

That's pretty darn close-- try this for the chorus:

Code: Select all

G:----------------------------------------------
D:----4-----------------------------------------
A:-2-----------------2-------------4-7--9-7-5-4-
E:---------0--2--4--------4--5---5--------------
(I just added two notes to yours and shifted the first two down to the end of the neck)

Good work though.
