My Kit Kat Jam attempt

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

My Kit Kat Jam attempt

Unread post by DreaminBassMunky » Tue Aug 19, 2003 3:13 pm

This was really the best I could do. The bass is fairly hard to hear on this song, because there is a lot of "backround" noise. Have fun with it, I've give you the basics.

Code: Select all

Kit Kat Jam (played/tabbed on a 5 string)

Intro/Verse:
|----------------------------------------------
|----------------------------------------------
|----------------------------------------------
|----------------------------------------3-3--
|--3*---6-6----3---6-6----3---6-6---------

*this is either a D or an Eb I am not quite sure, too low to tell.

Breakdown:
|---------------------------------------------------------
|---------------------------------------------------------
|--6-6-6-5----3-3--2-2-2------------------------------
|------------------------------4-4-4---3-3--1-1--3-3--
|---------------------------------------------------------

Chorus:
|---------------------------------------------------6/7----9--7-6-------
|----------------------------------------------7---------------------7----
|--------4--5--7------4--5--7--------4—5------------------------------
|---5---------------3--------------2--------------------------------------
|-------------------------------------------------------------------------7

The song is pretty simple up until the chorus. Just mess around in A. That’s what’s Stefan’s doing….not like you can hear it. Take a look at the guitar tab and try to figure out something to play along with it. Note the root notes in the chorus. If you just played the roots it would go A…G….F#….E. Think about that when improvising and just have fun with it. This was tabbed from The Lillywhite Sessions if it makes any difference to anyone.

hmm maybe it's an E rather than an Eb..couldn't tell it's too low.

Actually I believe it's an F, heh. Pretty sure that part follows the guitar very closely...the rest is a mystery. ;) Heh, actually, the rest of yer tab seems fine...just check to see if a rapid series of F's fit in the verse.
