Can't Stop solo tab (Dropped -B and -D tunings)

So you're amazed as to how Dave's rhythm guitar slaps and strums so "perfectly"...but you can't. Ask all things about Dave and his guitars here.

Here's the tab of the tune the way Dave plays it solo on his baritone. He plays the song in dropped B, but it is likely to sound MUCH better on a 'regular' guitar in dropped D.

Code: Select all

Can't Stop

*dropped B tuning (BADGBE)

Main riff
E----------------------------------------
B----------------------------------------
G----------------------------------------
D-------------------3-4------------------
A---3-5-3-5p3-0-3-5-----5-3-5p3-0-3-5----
B-3--------------------------------------

"I'm like a junkie..."
E----------------
B----------------
G----------------
D----------------
A--3--------------
B--1-------------

"So hungry..."
E------------------------------------------
B------------------------------------------
G------------------------------------------
D-9---9--7---5-------/12--11--9--7--5------
A-9---9--7---5-------/12--11--9--7--5--3---
B-0---0-(5)-(3)---------------0--------1---

Dropped D tuning (DADGBE)
Main riff
E----------------------------------------
B----------------------------------------
G----------------------------------------
D-------------------3-4------------------

To put your guitar in dropped D tuning just tune your low E string down a little at a time, and match the pitch of the 7th fret low E string to the open A string.
So instead of matching the pitch of the low E string 5th fret to the A string (5th string) like you'd normally do in standard tuning, you're matching the pitch of the E string 7th fret. Or you could use a tuner.

Tuners are pretty much the ebst investment you can make as a guitar player... Except the guitar of course.
