The Rest of Storytellers

I read that step into the light book and in there it said that Dave & Tim played a 3 hour show and the vh1 people cut it down to an hour plus commercials. Now i don't know anything about television except how to watch it, but i am sure someone at vh1 has that entire show. Even worse it's problably in a box collecting dust. I know there is nothing we can do, but as a fan that just pisses me off and worse vh1 will release all the shitty storytellers on dvd but not the one we all want. Im just ranting maybe we could veto vh1 or start one of those bi partisan parties and cause the downfall of vh1 through politics, unless they release our damn footage of that show. However if anyone knows anyone who knows anyone who works for vh1 get 'em to smuggle that shit out.

they camera men that taped it ran out of tape during the show, so while there might be a couple more songs that were taped, the majority of the show wasn't. only the audio of the whole show exists.

True, I have the whole show on CD it kicks ass. I would though, love to see what was taped of the show.

I have a couple of Storytellers things in my posession. One is the full 3 disc set that they played..grabbed it off of Ebay. The only problem is the sound quality is horrendous. I don't think I've ever listened to the whole thing..it's awful. To my knowledge...I have one of the best recordings of the Storytellers performance AS AIRED...because of my own efforts and some tricks of the trade :wink:

...I was able to come out with a crisp clear CD of that amazing show. Also nabbed a VCD of the performance....runs really well and looks pretty good full screen.

If you really want an audio of the show...check ebay..but forewarning...the quality sucks :cry:

I have most all of it I think, its really great, but there are better version of most all of the songs somewhere on the net.

The ones I have are Warehouse, the stone, Say goodbye, Typical Situation, PNP, Long Black vail (I think) BOWA, LIOG and a few others.

fucking a' i want that shit. i don't have a computer yet, its coming though, me and my wife just called and ordered the Dell this morning. kinda stoked about it. soon i will be able roam the net to my hearts content.
i agree that vh1 should let you atleast buy some of the stuff that they didn't air. i've emailed and called them to sell me the storytellers from the counting crows but they just told me to keep watching and that they might re-play it "sometime". they run the station, you'd think they could do whatever the hell they want. buttholes.
