Community-Maintained FAQs

This idea just came to me in a flash of light 8)

How about we have a Community-Maintained FAQs forum where we can post FAQs (frequently asked questions) for the general public (especially noobies) - you know, stuff like how to play shn's with winamp, how to d/l songs from am.org, how to read tabs (?)... just thought that would be nice

I would appreciate a thread or FAQ to figure out how the heck to DL songs from http://www.amidreaming.org/

Its like rocket science to learn some of the stuff they talk about over there. I could teach a blind person to play Stone way b/f telling them the process to use directconnet or am.org.

Well you can't download shows on amidreaming anymore (you can trade of course), but you still can on antsmarching.org - you can see my little tutorial on how to do it here. They also just released a neat little prog called AntsDownloader that looks like it will make it a little easier to download shn's.. downloading as we speak :wink:

i guess that could help. maybe someone could make a sticky and delete off topic posts or there could be a separate forum section for faqs?
