Glorious Pastorius - Victor and Steve

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

not sure, i got more parts of the song, and got to that part briefly. not tabbed yet. try playing it and let me know if im on the right track though. Not sure if its right.

The beginning needs some work, not sure how much the verse does.

ok i figured out the two-part stuff for the Soul Limbo at the end of Glorious Pastorius. its starts with this at 5:16....

Code: Select all

G-10-10-10-10-10-9-----------------7-------------------------------7-9-10-9-7-9----
D--------------------10-10-10-10---------------------------------10-----------------10
A-------------------------------------------5-7-8-7-5-7--------5------------------------
E-----------------------------------------7---------------8-8-8--------------------------

thats not it exactly, but thats how it goes with the primary parts. in the song, the A and E strings is one bass while the D and G strings are another, so there is bassline under the melody. and when the melody cuts out (the DG strings, then the bassline(A E) becomes prominent. also, the 10's and the beginning on the G string, the number is not correct you can play it however you want and itll sound fine.

if youre talking about the little bouncy part, the high part, i think its something like this...
(with the low part just before it...

Code: Select all

i forgot what bend is, but bend that low A# a couple of times
G------------------12---------12-----
D----------------------------------
A----------------------10-------------
E-6-------10-10----------10---------------
make the high Gs sharp and bouncy like in the song. i think this is similar...cant really hear the lower notes cuz im usin my comp speakers
