Unread post by jsgksu » Sat May 31, 2003 11:38 am

Anyone know where I can get some good tabs for Fire and Rain and Your Smiling Face? I looked on the net and did a search here and didnt find anything spectacular, so can anyone play these songs good and know where I can find good tabs of them. Thanks.

http://www.tabcrawler.com

one of those should have both of them, or collectively, you should be able to find what your looking for.

Like I said, I alrady looked at all the major tab sites on the internet and didnt come up with anything that I found as being really good. So, once again, can anyone who can play these songs well please tell give me the tabs they use? Thanks.

Well, I couldn't find a site like this for JT tabs, but

http://www.james-taylor.com/board/ikonb ... act=SF;f=7

that might help you out a little.

I dont want it bad enough to spend $20 for it, my friends were just asking me to learn some songs so I said Id try. I havent really gotten into James Taylor that much but I havent really listened to much of his music for long at all either. Thanks for the site Trippn, I'll search around there for something good.

Try this one here as sort of a starting point if nothing else, not all the chords are named correctly, but I'm kind of working off of this one and listening to the song.

Yeah, thats the one I find to be the most popular on the tab sites. I guess its pretty accurate Im just not very good at fingerpicking yet. The "Your Smiling Face" tab Im using is this one: http://www.thetabworld.com/James_Taylor ... howtab.jsp There is another tab out there that is more common and popular than this one but it requires you to move the capo down the neck for each verse which makes no sense to me so Im using thins one with a little variation.
