Dave Matthews and Johnny Cash

OK i downloaded a song, it was called "for you" it said by johnny cash and dave matthews.

i love the song, amazingly beautiful, heard only johnny, until the 2nd verse and chorus were someone sounds exactly like dave sings with him... but i can find no records of them playing together, or dave being involved.

on amazon it says its for a movie called "we were soldiers"...
i had no idea that these two worked together, and the song is so fucking amazing and beautiful, not to mention personal.

song is amazing though.

Ya, according to the liner notes on the soundtrack, it's definitely Dave and Cash. I'm very surprised I'd never heard of it. Good find.

yeah those are the lyrics, and the song is amazing, you can barley heard dave though, i kinda like that.

I haven't heard the whole song, but from what I heard it sounds like all he does is harmonize an octave up. Sounds like a woman.

I always thought that song kind of sucks. The music is almost identical to the music to that Superman song by Five For Fighting.

i love that movie. i read the other day this song was co-written with day. is this the song that they play in the movie when its intense fighting and it gets quiet and this song plays???
