Daves picks??
I was just wondering about this... I really never gave much thought to picks until I recently switched to the Jim Dunlop nylon picks. I really love it over the regular picks i was using...I just find the nylon doesn't have the same "attack" on the strings as others. It's softer and lets the note shine through more, in my opinion...
What does dave normally use?
What's everyone's opinion/experience with different picks here?

My "gitter" was my best investment
Re: Daves picks??
I also like the nylon picks. I have trouble hitting the strings correctly with the Tortex picks. I dont know why, but I feel I can strum better with the nylons....Jonny B Good wrote:I was just wondering about this... picks
I'd wear my finger nail off using a pick that thin. I like the .70 or thicker so I can get better volume.

for me, it's .60's orange dunlops for heavy strumming on acoustic, .88 green dunlops for more articulate stuff on acoustic, which I do more of, and strictly .88 green dunlops on electric for maximum control with some flexibility, the greens are great because not only do they flatpick great but they also strum well, best of both worlds

they're just hte orange dunlops with the DMB thing on themdagoba6@aol.com wrote:Dave actually gets his own personal picks made for him. They are orange and have a faded triangle in the middle with DMB written on it. I have 2 of them. I play with one and keep the other up for show. They are .60mm picks, and play real well.

I know that they are the Dunlop .60mm. I already use those picks. I want to know what Dave's custom pick looks like.
You can custom order from Dunlop, its about $240 for 800 custom printed picks. I'm thinking that I could get a picture of Dave's pick, and then get a few people in on the deal, I could order a batch. So I wanted a picture or scan of the pic to create the art I would need to send to Dunlop.
