need help with crash into me

need help with crash into me

Hey, im sure this has been braught up before. But i need some help with playing crash into me. I have no problem with fretting the chord, but it still seems to sound wrong? Do you all play the e notes on the first and six the string? and what notes do you all mute. If i can get the the chord to sound right i can play the song how its supposed too. Any help on any part of the song would be great. Thanx :lol:

Sometimes I like to let the high e ring out too... just personal preference though. Wow, I feel like I can really play something now. I used to just ask questions... now I help(at least for this song) :)

For the life of me I can not get the strumming pattern correctly for this song. I know this gets brought up all the time but can someone try to help by describing the strumming technique? Is it up, down, down, etc. I'm a decent guitarist but this song has always pissed me off. Maybe I'm the only idiot here.

I realized I had the earlier tab wrong. Follow this tab while listening to this audio clip. It should be all you need (with practice). It's kind of sloppy because I played it so slow, but you get the idea. Pay close attention to the pauses in the strumming. Click on the link below, and find "Crash Help" at the bottom of the list.

Crash Help

Two other things to remember.....

During "In a boy's dream..." the strumming pattern is exactly opposite. It's hard to explain, but you can hear it easily in any acoustic version of the song. Like this: (Cut and paste this to Notepad to see it right, sorry)
