buzzing strings help....

Unread post by tjmac66pc » Mon Mar 08, 2004 12:16 pm

I just had my guitar action set and whatnot in December....i never had any problems with it before and i've had it for about a year and a half...well yesterday i restrang cuz i noticed the high e and b strings were starting to buzz a little...when i restrung, the b and e strings were even worse...i can't even fret thru the first three frets....as it doesn't even ring at all...does anyone know what could be the problem with this, maybe the neck is bent or something? any suggestions would be appreciated...thankz

there has been a lot of discussion about this in the last couple of montsh or so. do a search.

in short, it you may need a truss rod adjustment. you may need to swith gauges, your guitar may be dry (in which case, you need to humidify it). etc. but do a search. there's a lot on buzzing strings
